What Mr. Butters Really Thinks...
A lot of my friends don't like my snakes. But they just LOVE my leopard gecko, Mr. Butters, and they want to pet/hold and talk about how cute he is. After having to explain that Mr. Butters shouldn't really be held, I just made a sign for his cage that sums up why he shouldn't be participating in these activities:
I've gotten bitten a million times. It doesn't hurt. But for someone who doesn't know that he bites, its quite startling and he might get dropped. So, the reason for the sign.

LOL. That's awesome. One of my leos bites too. She bites HARD though. Not enough to cause a lot of pain but she'll break the skin if she gets half a chance.

Mr. Butters is usually a gentleman but he is a portly gentlemen that would like to sample all the cuisine life has to offer. This includes worms, crickets, pinkies, and especially fingers. I've recently caught him eyeballing my corn snake hungrily from across the room. He also has that look in his eye when he sees my bare feet every morning when I get ready for work. I'm sure he'd like to sample some toes, too.

LOL. That's awesome. If he's really interested in that corn, then his eyes are way too big for his stomach. My girl was a rescue so she just doesn't like to be handled at all. My other two girls are totally fine with it. At least you know he'll be easy to find if he ever gets out. Just walk around barefoot for a while til he latches on to a piggy.

Re: What Mr. Butters Really Thinks...
He did get out once.
My mother went into my room for something and one of the cats got in there. I came home and found the lid tilted inside the cage and he must've used it as a ramp to escape the cat. I thought for the worst, thinking I'd find bits and pieces Mr. Butters but he was happily camping out under my dresser, much to the disdain of Ms. Kitty.
I now have locks on all my cages, so this won't happen again.

Re: What Mr. Butters Really Thinks...
oh wow!!! LOL
I've never really seen an "agressive" leo. I have one that prefers not to be handled, but never had one that'd bite me.
but funny sign, nonetheless :P
