In the spirit of April Fool's Day, here's some wrong answers I'd love to give...if I didn't have the faintest shimmering of a conscience
Q: I really feel it's more sporting to feed live rats to my snake, do I have to feed prekilled?
A: Rats do not have a sporting chance...for a sporting chance, try wolverines
Q: How do I tell a Coral Snake from a King Snake?
A: Just pick it up and ask
Q: Can you suggest a good substrate?
A: Broken glass and thumbtacks
Q: My snakes eyes got all cloudy, is there something wrong?
A: Yes...you need to immediately tape a pair of small sunglasses over them to protect them
Q: Tape on sunglasses? You're putting me on...
A: Have you ever seen a snake with ears? How else do you expect them to stay on
I know you all have some too...what's the worst you can do?

But what's wrong with broken glass? It reflects the light and colors so prettily.

LOL cute.
How about...
Q. What's a good "Starter" Hot snake?
A. Just go ahead and start out with a Mamba or Taipan..since you seem to want to die ...why die a slow death, messing with the lesser equipped serpents?

Here's another one.
Q- What do I need to feed my snake and what should the feeding schedule be?
A- Snakes in the wild generally raid garbage cans and dumpsters for potatoes and left over burritos. In captivity they thrive on a largely Italian diet including meat lovers pizza and spagghetti with garlic bread. The garlic and spices is what they use to make their venom.
For evening meals, I reccomend Rocky Road ice cream smothered in hot fudge and brownies.
Their feeding schedule should be the same as Sally Struthers and Rosie Odonnels, 24 hours a day of their favorites.

Awww, I thought a rhino viper should be my first hot. Pretty colors. I do like the mambas, though. Which do you think green or black? I personally like the black mambas. I could take it jogging with me. lol

I always though a green anaconda would be a good starter snake because it only requires a 10 gallon tank.

Q: They said at the petstore that my snake will only grow as large as its enclosure...is this true?
A: Well, if you heard it at a petstore, it must be. But for the best advice, be sure to go to one of those large national chainstores. If you're still not sure of the advice, be sure to double check using a magic 8 ball. Those things are never wrong
Q: Again, I think you're putting me on
A: OK, you got me....the real secret to keeping a snake small is to only feed it white mice and rats. They lack the vitamins that colored rats have, and therefore will keep the snake smaller. This is escpecially true of retics and anacondas

Q-How do I measure my snake? It just will NOT stretch out for me...
A-The easiest way to measure a snake is to use the duct tape feeding method.
Step 1 Place your snake on a linoleum floor.
Step 2 Duct tape the tip of the snakes tail to the linoleum surface.
Step 3 Blind fold the snake.
Step 4 Accurately guesstimate the approximate length of the snake and duct tape a live food item to the same floor, just beyond the reach of the snake.
Step 5 Un-blindfold the snake, point at the food item and in a lively, exited voice, say " Looky, there it is!"
Step 6 At the moment of full stretch, measure the snake quickly and repeatedly with a one foot ruler.
Accuracy is Guaranteed!
