Actually, the football field reference, though cliche and overused, is incorrect. If you apply that to a human, it would be like jumping about 1/2 mile, which is more than a football field by a couple thousand feet.

yeeeah, i'm tired of those stupid bugs making number 1 every time on animal planets "Most Extreme". A flea jumping 3 feet high is a flea jumping 3 feet high and there's nothing impressive about that to me. The jokes were pretty funny though.

The mantis fact is also incorrect. They breed just like anything else, but the female *may* eat the male during, or after if he's not fast enough off the line.
