Hey guys... I need some tips on popping baby boas to determine sex.
I tried using the techniques described in the BCM, but nothing? I can't seem
to do it right. (or they are all female lol)
Do I need to wait until after the first shed?
any help is greatly apprecaited!

Morti says: It's a little early for that, you need to wait until after their first shed

I agree with Morti. Also, I would suggest that you have someone experienced show you how to properly pop neonates.

Definately wait until after first shedding, and I usually wait until after about 3 meals.
And I also agree with John, get someone to show you how to do it, its hard to describe it over the internet.
someone needs to make a video on how to pop babies.
hmm... I figured someone had done that by now, but I havent seen one.

If you cup your lips just right making a nice closed seal over their open mouth, you can blow it out. Bad joke...don't try that....I just wanted to add my vote with those telling you that, like probing, it isn't so much just where and what to push but how exactly to hold and possition your fingers..or as important anyway....really is something that needs to be taught in person. After the third meal is probably best...I've never been able to hold out that long though and usually do it just before the second...but I'm a rebel.
