You can't sorry. Even if they die and you freeze them, they will escape your freezer.

hehe just wanted to draw attention to this particular forum which was requested to be created by a couple of people and then has sat here empty for way to long. Come on guys...you asked for it. Please post something! I have a few things I can post but need to do a series of photos first. This forum is a great idea...but even a great idea sucks if not used.

Rule #1: if you've been to a herp show and your snakes are in deli cups, DON'T let your friends examine them! They NEVER snap the lids back on tight.

Julius knows what I mean I SWEAR I snapped that sucker down, I went all around the top to make sure...

LOL Jay...hose big 12" deli cups are a pain...they actually kinda snap twice. If ya don't push down hard all the way around, they only seem snapped. I take full blame. They were my responsibility...it was just fun to poke fun at you....besides, had the cornsnake not escaped at Barry's I would have left early that morning and not stuck around and been there for Megan's second visit. Who knows...that second visit may have made all the difference in our future. Sometimes really good things come from what may seem at first a "mishap"

To add a serious note to this thread and draw some attention back to the "How To" forum...

To help escape proof a sliding screen top type cage such as the Critter Cages you can add normal household type weather stripping to the inside edge of the plastic on the front of the sliding screen top. Also make sure that the screws that hold that plastic piece in place are kept tight. A spring type clamp on the back edge of the sliding top will keep it shut tightly.

For the normal lid that sets on the top of the tank a thick piece of foam weather stripping to give a good tight seal between the screen frame and the aquarium will help prevent an escape.

I use A clamps on the sliding tops too.

On the screen tops that fit on top of fish tanks...usually with little metal clips on the ends...something most people don't think of is...you can bend in all sides of these tops for a snug fit. I have several of these with no clips...all because the top snaps on really tight after a bit of custom bending.
