Lizards and guns wooooooo!!! feeding trick

I had this idea when i was tired of chasing crickets.

I had a couple empty boxes of wolf and brown bear 7.62x39 ammo laying around and i had a light bulb pop over my head!

I took the box and sat it in the crickets cage and waited for a couple of crickets to walk in.

then i picked up the box and poured them in the monitors cage.

Just thought some of you people that are tired of chasing crickets might try it.

So are they particular must it be 7.62x39 or will 7x64 also do the trick? lol Great idea.

Watch out for the crix picking up nasty stuff in the box on the way though (lead for example)

I use a bit of egg crate, once they go on it, I simply shake it over a plastic cup, they fall in, those that don't, they crawl up on the next one in the cage.

Keep doing this until you have enough

true but the 7.62s are wrapped in paper so no contact is involved but i see where you are coming from. that is also a great idea. maybe I'll comprimise and put a plastic cup in there? with some egg carton at the bottom

Better safe than sorry, crix can be a bugger at times to catch. You know what they say, build a better mouse (cricket) trap and the world will beat a path to your door
