Large Boa Water Dish Ideas...
Just curious what some of you use for a water dish for your larger boas. My BCI has outgrown the large ceramic water dish that I have in his cage and I'm looking for something to replace it...What do the rest of you use for your larger boas?
Also take into consideration that he is in a boaphile 421d so there isn't a lot of vertical clearance so the water dish can't be too tall. Less than 6" tall would be best.
Thanks in advance!

I use a small cat litter box. When mine soaks she forces all excess water out but she is submerged fully (excpt her head).

You're the second person to suggest a Cat litter box. How much do those generally cost? I'll probably be hittin the pet store tomorrow.

For my boa I use a cat litter box and put a few heavy rocks in the bottom that way it doesn't get knocked over. Sometimes my snake likes to be he-man and do silly things like that. You can go to wal-mart and get a real cheap one for no more than 5-10 dollars. Or you can even use one of those storage bins that you slide under the bed.

I'm currently use sterilite containers for my larger snakes. They come in A LOT of different sizes. I expect a cat litter box would work just as well.

Go back to automotive and pick up some of those black plastic tubs you drain oil into when doing an oil change. They are only a couple of bucks and work great. I try to stick with round tubs. It just seems the snakes are more comfortable soaking in something that isn't square or rectangle.
