most of the N.A. ophiosaurus are pretty spazzy.
I have not idea about the Lialis sp. There are some new guinea ssp available from time to time, but they arent in high demand, nor heavy supply.
So its hard to say on those.

D'oh, well looks like I'll have to get back out
there and find something more obscure.
I thought I might get at least three 'funny snake' comments
before someone clued in, well done Brian and Tele.
Burton's legless lizard
Lialis burtonis
Diet cosists solely of small skinks, very jumpy, they can vocalise
making a toy trumpet type bark/squeak when alarmed. They are also nocturnal.
Apparently hardy in captivity if you can keep up, a supply of live skinks.
Does't take well to being handled however and the tail is cast readily.
Grows up to 60cm.

I didnt know they vocalized, how crazy.
I figured they would act much like the American legless lizards, which are normally in my exp. pretty jumpy as well.
Lialis burtonis.... why did I think it was burtoni.
maybe it used to be burtoni back in the early days of the never ending kluge we call taxanomy.

Tell me about it Tele,
taxonomy in this country changes like the weather , and you think zoology is bad, the botanists flip genus's
like they were pancake's.
"I didnt know they vocalized, how crazy."-tele
Gave me a fright to, when I picked my first one up.

I love the white 'racing stripe' they have down the side.

I used to have a few of those guys. Got them from Regal Reptiles. Really awesome lizards but feeding them and my Ahaetullas was a pain!
