Salamanders seem to be commont throughout North America. We have nearly 15 throughout New England. We don't have much of anything in New England.

Nope...you are wrong Jay...I called fish and game in NC...they only have one species of salamander in NC. Although there are many different colors and patterns...they are all still just "Spring Lizards"
