try rat pups. Frozen rats - Pups
metabolism slows usually about a year old or later. (it slows as they become an adult snake)
yes always feed frozen.

I never thought about baby rats that seems like a great idea. I have a bunch of adult mice frozen but when they are gone im gonna make the switch.
On another note how much handling is too much? We take him out a few times a day. He never seems to get mad and he hasnt even made a move to bite anyone yet. Even if we uncover him and take him out he seems fine. (i call it a he but i dont know the sex.)
He has stayed out for a few hours at a time before and once he feels cold i usually return him to his tank. Right now I am under the impressionthat he should be handled as much as possible but just wanna know when not to. Like maybe after feeding, shedding, etc.

I just named my new boa Trinity last night. I found a neat snake name website. Names for Pet Snakes - Snake Names Some of the funniest ones I saw were William Snakespear, Rocky BalBoa, & Rumplesnakeskin.
