Q:Name the unexpected lizard.
Southeastern 5 lined - inexpectatus is derived the Latin prefix in meaning "not" and the Latin word expectare meaning "expectation". This refers to the unexpected discovery of this skink in the well-known lizard fauna of North America.
Q:Which snake is best at counting.
Mud Snake - abacura is derived from the Latin word abacus which means "counting board".
Q:Name the stiff snake.
Glossy Crayfish Snake - rigida is derived from the Latin word rigidus which means "stiff", this refers to the way the snake moves.
Sorry Louise they don't make good captives.
Q:Name the turtle that's part snake.
Common Snapping Turtle - serpentina is derived from the Latin word serpentis meaning "snake". Referring to the long tail of the turtle.
