Someone I know is traveling around the world and took a picture of this snake in Asia.... Does anyone know what kind it is??

Common house snake lycodon capucinis (spelling?)? That's the only one, I can think of with that light colored neck and tidious pattern.

looks like a housesnake to me too...or any of a gazillion asian ratsnakes? naaa looks like a housesnake...not to be confused with African housesnakes though....Different animal. Good call soundunsleep...I think...telefrag will come in and prove it's a cobra or something lol

i don't see a snake in the pic ...... i see the bottom 1/2 of a lizard or somthing attached to a snake???? maybe?? am i just being stoopid??

That depends. It appears that snake was in someone's ceiling. There's a fair chance that at this time, that snake is no better off than the gecko.

its probably a lycodon
they are called "wolf snakes" in some places, but Dinodon sp are sometimes called wolf snakes too.
they are pretty agile lizard predators and arent real uncommon
