Now go and release it.
You got your find, your got your pics, and you got to play with a nice looking water snake for a couple of days, now it is time to release it back to the wild.

that aint the great outdoors in the background and he never said he released it. Not bashing, just reminding him that catch and release is a good policy....

Well, I am guilty of bringing those anoles into my house and taking the pic then releasing them back outside, maybe he is funny like that too?

do your research on the species and I hope you become a good frog catcher....unless it'll start to take mice or rats. I'm no pro but I imagine for a water snake a frog would be in the diet.

I agree with toker, if you can't get this thing to eat, it's better to LET IT GO then to kill it!!!!!

It will probably not eat Crayfish, in fact the crayfish can hurt the snake. Watersnakes are actually alot of work and very messy. They don't really make good captives in my opinion. They are always fun to catch, just not keep
