if you run out of water dig near a living shrub and eat salt befour you go in the desert

Good tips, though i think My herpin times will be early morning. Plus i dont think I'll be goin THAT far into the desert. but it would be cool to do though.
For once being a salt addict would be a good thing :P

Believe me...I know where to take bodies that they'd NEVER be found!!! Anyway, welcome to the big, bad Mojave Desert Ed! Mid July ehh? I assume you'll be coming out for some type of convention? Well, you can still find a few Crotalus roaming around during the day that time of year on occaision, plus a few lizards here and there. Early morning is good...temps usually make it down into the 70's or 80's then. We'll definitely plan a trip or 12! Looking forward to meeting another RTB member face to face. Anyone else game for mid-July!!!

Actually no convention, just comin out. A little cheaper there then. Definately up for a meet and greet and of course herp til ya drop!!!
Course in the desrt that wont take too long :P

Cheaper is better!!!...especially here in Vegas. Sad too, cause it used to be a great, inexpensive place to come to in the 60's and 70's. Anyway, gotta get to work, but we'll explore the possibilities somemore!

Steve i think we definately need to talk on this one. Will be real good to meet you too.
As of now we are taking a side trip to the Grand Canyon that should be real cool. Plus no kids for a few days (best part of all). Will be real nice to get a locals ideas on things to do there too, and avoid the hype that ends up being trash.

More than happy to give you any info. I can...and all I need is an excuse to go out in the field! If you haven't been to the Grand Canyon yet I gotta believe you're gonna love it! We'll get some plans together whenever you're ready.

Well Steve it looks like its a done deal. Booked the hotel just waiting for a deal on the airfare. We are actually coming in a day earlier than our trip mates, because we do want to go to the Grand Canyon, and a desert trip or 12. Looks like we are coming in the Wednesday the 14th and leaving Sunday the 18th. Of July
