2004 Herp Trip

Last year even in South Georgia it was a couple of weeks early for a lot of the snakes to be out in full movement...quite a few were moving but it could have been better. That area is crawling with snakes by early June. That's when I want to go back there. Plus people with kids will have Summer vacation to work with and the Memorial day crowd will have died down. Yah it will be hot down there then but the late evening road cruising will be prime.

Well I for one, could care less about how hot it is. I want to find lots of herps. I didn't feel like we did bad...and although I have not done an immense amount of feild herping, I have talked to several people who do and think we had a pretty good trip. It must be fairly amazing to get better than that!

the pygs weren't out crawling yet. That's what i am hoping to see an abundace of Yah we did good. I have no major complaints overall...just want to see more rattlers.

Bunch of cool people hangin out, a few beers, good food (ok more than a few beers) How can ya not have a good time. We found some herp. Was i hoping for more, sure, but who doesn't. Lets get this ball rollin.

lol...again..I'm not complaining about last year...it was a great time and fairly productive. I just think a month later in the year would be even better and YES let's get the ball rolling!
