Well almost anyone you go in Texas your bound to find a nice variety of animals. I personally prefer East Texas and West Texas. West Texas has more desert like areas and East Texas is more Lush with Forest and whatnot. The really cool thing about Texas is the wide variety of terrain(sp?).

I am leaning more towards East mainly because I grew up there and love it. But West Texas would defiently be cool. Someone get Ravnos to come in here and set us all straight.

but someone in that region will probably need to take the bull by the horns, to get it done.

That was exactly what I was looking for, Ted. Someone who knows the area, and can get the info we need.

I just didn't want to put words in your mouth my man. I mean...in all honesty, someone from anywhere could get it done, if they knew a spot for good herping. That's the key...and that's hard to know if you have never been there...LOL

I've been to carlsbad caverns. That was cool. My dad lived in El Paso so I went out there for 2 weeks a year for most of my life. Then he moved to Denver. I've only been there once since I was almost 16 when he moved.

I would be willing to try to come to a KY or SOUTHERN IL trip. Texas is alittle to far for us Although I would love to meet more of you guys.
