well kelly(savannah_babe) and i "try" to go out herping every sunday evening (of course it usually turns into every other due to technical difficulty's) and we figured we'd show everyone what herping in a swamp is like lol

today we also saw (not pictured) what we think was a garter and also some sort of aquatic snake(it took off before we could catch it)

man, we had a blast. we had the best of luck tonight. i kept getting yelled at, get away from the pygmy kelly!! (as i was 5ft away already) lol quote "i dont wanna carry your butt 3 miles back to the car because you wanted to get closer) he he.i said well, too bad bw isnt here, he would appreciate this

. the turtle was an awesome find. we were walking through the water and i spotted him. he was a bit shy..didnt wanna come out of that shell for anything. found a ton of frogs and toads..but we didnt think anyone wanted to sit and wait for 30 pics to load.. by the time we were done i was covered in mud.too bad we didnt have a little boat..walking through knee deep water isnt easy..lol my shoes kept getting stuck and i almost lost them quite a few times in the mud. hope you all enjoy the pics

Always like to see pics of the country/habitat people are travelling through
and finding these animals.
You could've got a lil' closer to that pyg. could'nt ya, at least for the pic??
They don't jump do they?? :P

ha ha..not that im not careful, but when it comes to that sort of thing faze is very cautious. espically not having experience with them. i was just thrilled to come across a few of these little guys. they are little, but fat little goobers. next time we find one..ill make sure we have a good camera that zooms..that way it will cover up bieng 5ft away,(i know its cheating) so it will look like were inches from him, or drag bw or julius down here with me, so we can get a up close shot

but its better to be safe than sorry, right? to be honest, we dont really come across these awesome creatures, so thought no need for snake hooks this time. when we dont have one, guess what we find..but ill tell ya, it made my day, i actually found what i was looking for
