Sounds like you and your son had a wonderful day. I miss my daughter being that young. My granddaughter will soon be old enough for some hiking adventures, though. I can't wait.
And as cool as it was for you, this will be the sort of things your son remembers as he gets older. Bravo for taking time to just hang out with him.
