Over the past year this guy has become my photography arch-nemesis...I always see him and his mate on the trail that I walk my dog on, but I never seem to have a decent camera with me when I see them. They've eluded me countless of times, but not today! I happened to have my camera with me and snapped a few quick shots before he flew away. They've produced one baby as far as I'm aware and I hope to capture him (take a picture of) soon.
I try to refrain from using flash as much as possible because I pretty much despise flash, nay I loathe it. It takes away all the color of the subject! Unfortunately, today I didn't bring my tripod and there was almost no light out, so I had to resort to my flash to take these pictures. I apologize in advance for the washed out colors and the terminator-looking eyes. I did my best to remove the red eyes in the first two pics, but the last one was near impossible.
