Well sorta, but not really. I was actually fishing, I was wading a small stream catching bass and panfish, I kept my eyes on the shore also. Nothing to cool yet. I did pick up a
gravid female western fence lizard and a orange throated whiptail. Man that whiptail is about the most fascinating critter I have. They are both great to watch and with handling they tamed down alot, more than I expected. They don't seem to bothered at all, they even ate for me the first day, little pigs gobbled up quite a few crickets. My buddy also came across an aligator lizard but was to intemmidated(sp) to catch it fror me, lol. I'm keeping my eyes peeled for the longer, lol, reptiles.
I know most will ask me why in the world I kept them at all, let alone a believed
gravid female. I couldn't resist myself, they have a less stressful life then they did. No predators constant food with very little hunting for them involved. Anyone now how long I can expect the female to stay
gravid until she lays? I've read caresheets but none say anything about the egg laying. I'm assuming taking care of them the same as most lizard eggs will work, any ideas for me. Also looking for how long the eggs take to hatch out? Thanks, please don't blast me to hard for keeping them
