Camping Trip - Kiptopeke State Park, Cape Charles, VA

Well it is finally coming together... the Mid Eastern RH/RTB gathering!
When:
Arrive: Friday, July 11th (evening) Leave: Sunday, July 13th
Where:
Kiptopeke State Park in Cape Charles, VA (Eastern Shore of VA)

How much:
$22 per night for a regular "shaded" camp site. (No electric or water hookups) Access to bathroom and shower. A group site (that will allow us to setup up together) is available but requires a reservation of at three or more sites at one time. The full camping fee needs to be paid at the time of the reservation. I will reserve and "front" the cost of those first three sites for people that will either mail me a check or send me a pay-pal payment. Please let me know ASAP either by PM or email. Located just up the road from Kiptopeke State Park are the islands of Chincoteague and Assateague. Assateague has beautiful, undeveloped beaches and freshwater impounds that support a wide variety of wildlife. Probably the most famous are the wild ponies

My mistake. Sika elk (not true deer) are originally from Japan, Korea, and China. These were released on the island in the 1920's. Smaller than the native Virginia white-tailed deer, Sika elk can be distinguished by its white spots, rump and smaller ears.

So the Sika retain the white spots where white tail lose them as they get older.
