I didn't find much, but I didn't try particularly hard either. I skipped most of the road cruising, but when I did go, found a cornsnake. My sheet:
1 Corn
1 Fence lizard (actually my boy caught it after BW and I walked right past it)
lots of Gopher torts
Everyone else's lists should be a little more impressive.

Everyone kept finding most of the snakes, but I managed to find a few. Next year, I'm sitting in front. What I found was:
1 corn snake - hit, but not dead
1 snake that Morti caught (I'll let him tell you about the highlight of our trip himself)
2 green anoles - 1 male, and 1 possibly female...I interrupted courtship activity
Yesterday, we came across these:
1 DOR (dead on road) gravid female black racer, with 3 eggs scattered in the road
1 legless lizard
2 or 3 glass lizards (#$%^$%^$%^$%^&, these things are fast!)
1 DOR banded water snake
Saturday, we came across:
1 DOR Southern hognose
1 DOR Eastern kingsnake
2 (I think) DOR Black Racers
1 DOR gray rat
1 wolf spider (I think that's what it was)
1 black racer that bolted as soon as we got out of the truck
1 mystery snake Brett saw that disappeared in thin air
On the way home, we saw a DOR Mud Snake, and a DOR Gopher tortoise.
I think that's all of them. It was sad to see so many killed on the road, but what we did find alive and well made it all worth the while.

Michelle's and my tally sheet.
Saturday's flippin' tin, road crusing, and a snazzy boat trip all with BWSmith:
1 Chain King (got away before any of us got a glove on him)
Other than that, our saturday list is the same as BW's.
Sunday my crusing team included Ted at the wheel, Michelle, Bry, and myself.
1 DOR Banded Watersnake
1 DOR Black Racer (This was a gravid female that had 3 eggs splattered)
3 legless lizards that were WAY too fast for me to catch.
1 Freshly hit Corn Snake
1 Canebrake Rattlesnake!!! (My First Hot... and we bagged it!)
I also found that BWSmith is Unbelievable when it comes to being able to grab snakes, lizards, and god knows what else faster than they can get away or grab him. I hold him in the highest respect... even though I found a hot and he didn't.
Pictures will soon follow.

My DOR List is Long and sad.
DORs:
1- 5 foot female Canebrake
Way more Gopher torts, box turtles, sliders and other various turtle like things than I can even count.
several black racers
1 huge grey ratsnake
1 heartbreakingly beautiful melanistic southern hognosed snake (took pics for proof)
a few banded watersnakes
some more black racers...they were everywhere
Mudsnake (sounds ugly but they are actually a very beautiful species)
Do armadillos count?
lottsa toads...sadly some died because of me...even at 10mph they were hard to avoid.
Live Snakes I or in many cases (we) spotted but were too slow or unwilling to brave certain terrain to catch...usually we were just too slow though.
More Black Racers than you can shake a stick at
1 Southern Pine that vanished into nowhere land before I could get out of the truck.
2 Really nice eastern kingsnakes that Barry spotted first ..I gave up on for a much more important task...shaking ants out of my shoes and off my now messed up looking ant chewed legs
big fat pretty glass lizard
I didnt chase too many lizards but saw a lot of various skinks and fence lizards
We also saw a few nighttime phantom snakes that vanished off the roads and out of sight before they could even be identified.
The only 2 snakes I actually captured:
1 insanely obese or more likely very gravid Banded Watersnake that managed to frighten more people back at camp than Morti's rattlesnake....She was a horrid nasty mean beast! Ted released her into the swamp for me after her early morning fashion session.
and 1 really sweet and sociable male subadult grey ratsnake and no it wasn't driving a mustang and yes it was very much within it's supposed natural range. We ended up giving him to the park's nature center. They were specifically looking for one. We also gave them one of John Whites Copperheads for their education program.
Special thanks to John White for sending me those coppers and to Jim for transporting them. They are all 4 very healthy and very nice animals. I kept 2. Brian and I split the 2 pretty female southerns. (I made him whimper a bit first though) I kept the transpecos x southern male and the northern male went to the park

What a great trip. Everything I saw has been covered by the others posting here so I'm not gonna put up a list. I loved every minute of the road cruising and flipping tin. The rattlesnake capture by Donnie, Michelle, Bry, and I was a big highlight. I wish there was a video camera present...we all looked like a bunch of excited kids over that. Next time I'll have to bring mine.
Meeting all the great RH people that were there would have been plenty to make the trip worth while! Thanks to everyone who came for adding all the fun to the weekend and a big thanks to Brian for putting the whole thing together. This was one of the best vacations I have ever had.

I agree. THANKS Brian. Also Big Time thanks to the cooking crew. There is a reason the Sunday Breakfasts are legendary. Was a killer time. Thanks for making my son Dave feel at home too. On the way home he was asking when we could go camping with all of you again. Believe it or not he is incredibly shy, and normally won't leave my side, I think I saw him by me for a total of 15 minutes all weekend.lol
WAY AWESOME TIME!!!

I agree, the camping trip was awesome. Having been home for less than 24 hours after leaving the camping trip, I'm already looking forward to next year's trip. Thanks to Brian for setting it up, the Deacon of Freakin' for getting the whole idea started several months ago, and Schatzie, Morti, and RevMojo for keeping us all comfortable and well-fed. Since the DNR officers aren't members, I'll post the list from their Catch and Release Sunday night:
Ed_R +1
HerpKingdom +3
Morti
LdyDrgn
Bry
TrinityWolf
BWSmith
JuliusSqueezer
This is why it important to know the local laws and the correct answers when questioned...notice it was catch and release.

lol, only Ed_r +1 and HerpKingdom +3 were catch and release, the rest of us were pretty much just told about it by DNR. Those officers sure seemed to know a lot. I think someone folded under questioning

lol I really seriously doubt they would have believed a guy and kid from Chicago, and another guy with kids from New York, are going to know how to get to that place. They new there was a mastermind behind the plot. BTW thanks for telling us in Advance if your going to spot be sure and not get caught. That little tidbit of information was left out.
I wouldn't call it folding. More like C.Y.A.

I have to say...looking back that whole scenario was really funny for those at the gas station. I know Ed_R and Herpkingdom and their kids didn't think it was very funny, but those DNR Rangers really made it sound like they gave you guys the shake down. Harrassing the wildlife? You would have thought it was a felony. Although I understand, from an insiders perspective it really seemed ludicris how serious they were. Going so far as to tell us you can't use a flashlight at night...even outside the car...that was funny.
Hey Brett...did you ever get their diner list?!
In Brian's defense...I really don't think he knew that was a no no either Ed. If you don't have weapons in most states you can spotlight animals.
