Yes, that's what they look like.. hatchlings are smaller versions of the adults.

.. but these snakes would be very difficult captives.. and the only US population is totally protected.. so I'm not sure there is any future for these pretty animals in mainstream herpetoculture.
.
It sure is fun to see them in nature!

They *can* be kept in captivity, they just don't make the best captives. I know someone who used to breed those, but I don't think he works with them anymore...
