There's something you don't see every day. It looks just like the blind snakes (Leptotyphlops dulcis) we have here in Texas.

When they open their mouth at you, probably not a worm. Also, the don't exude worm-slime. Their skin is dry and scaley just like any other snake.
Here in Kentucky, we have a species also known as a worm snake. I wonder if they are related some how?

Ok this is Leptotyphlops longicaudus They average on 20cm and max at about 25.5cm The smallest snake I can find in the books on snakes of southern Africa is the Southern Forest Worm Snake it averages on 9cm but that is just here there must be smaller some were else in the world.
