Wild snake eggs hatched!!!!!
They turned out to be Rough Green Snakes! All 3 came out of the egg just fine, and are currently climbing around their cage like little green noodles

They are gorgeous! Congrats. Planning on releasing them? Think you could post more pics of them once they've shed? They are too precious.

Re: Wild snake eggs hatched!!!!!
Thanks everybody. I am planning on keeping them at least for now- I have the trio in a 5gallon aquarium with a screen lid until I find a good, secure way to keep them- they are so tiny they could easily escape my 6qt baby rack!
I'm going to wait until they shed and see if they will eat crickets or other small insects.

Re: Wild snake eggs hatched!!!!!
Oh cool, neat to see snakes that will actually live on crickets. I used to have a smooth green snake on the east coast, it was a blast to feed her.

Re: Wild snake eggs hatched!!!!!
Cute little worms! Such big eyes.
Once you feed them you do not want to release them into the wild ever. You can introduce a pathogen to the wild that could harm the native population.

Very cool!
It must have been like opening those plastic easter eggs not knowing what you were going to get.
