The Hunter becomes the Hunted
So while out herping, I get a strange feeling that I'm being watched....
Sure enough this critter was giving me the "stink eye".
Just before it pounced, I ran jumped into the car and locked all the doors!
That was a close call!
Can you identify the beast (native to the southeastern U.S.)?

I don't know what they were attracted to, but I used to find groups ( usually 5+ ) in in-ground pools that were in the later stages of Construction. I used to put up Pool panels and hook up all the equipment for Paradise Pools, so I could of made a killing if I was a commercial collector. It was really weird how it worked out. Once they were in, they couldn't seemingly get out. I figured they could scale concrete, but I guess not.
