I know that it is early. But the park is almost booked. After talking to several attending, we have decided on the group lodge. This building has 32 beds. All reservations for the Memorial Day 3 day Weekend must be for Fri, Sat and Sun night. It is $200 per night, so $600 for the weekend (3 nights). With a large group, I think this is the best choice rather than being spread out over many sites. This also means that if you arrive late Friday night, you do not have to set up camp int he dark [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif[/img]

[edited again] That is 23 people. That breaks down to $26 each person for the entire weekend! Not bad! (Campsites would be $45 for the weekend).
THE DEADLINE TO REGISTER FOR THIS IS 10am Monday Feb 17th
If more people confirm, the price per person WILL go down.
After the Monday deadline (and possible price lowering), payments need to get to me ASAP since I am paying the deposit. I do not have the money right now so I had to work them a little to make sure we get it. It was booked, but they had a cancellation, so it is in high demand.
Please confirm or cancel now.
Closer time, if more people want to come (up to 32), the price will remain the same as paid by the rest, but we will put the funds to food etc. is the current plan.

We will need to get a listing of things to bring with us for this trip - bed linens are not furnished for the lodge, so before camp meeting time, lets start a new thread and put together a check list.

Nope. I know, it is not REALLY camping. But with over 20 people, it is better this way. Same as camping with different sleeping accomidations.

Yes, it has central air, beds and 2 bathrooms. Those are about the only luxuries. But if you have ever camped in South GA or FL during the summer, it is not a luxury, it is a neccessity. I couldn't see that happening in a cabin at all. Not to mention that my group would about fill the space left also in that cabin np.

Here's the info on the lodge:
"The group lodge houses a total of 32 persons and is equipped with central air and heat. Separate dorms with rest rooms are located on each end of the building. "
If I interpret this correctly, there are 2 sleeping rooms, one at each end of the building so the kids can still have their room.
