cool cool looks like it might be coming together

You're in Macon? No excuse for you not to make a daytrip up here soon then...regardless of what other plans we make for camping

So far, Aug 17 (I think, I'm not looking at a calendar...oh sure, I could bring one up on the comp, but..) and 18, maybe nite of the 16th too looks like the best time for me.

Yeah, I thought about rolling up to ATL but my friends that I'm with aren't all for it. So I'm thinking next weekend I might roll out this way again. sorry Deacon, won't be able to come out this trip....we're going to some club called South Beach tonight if you know where it's at....

So far, the tenative plan is to have my girlfriend come up here and help me drive down there. I assume she might also be helping me unload. Which would be pretty nice, instead of letting me do it all myself, don'tcha think?

Anyway, Rev and I were talking about this trip in chat, and how it would be the very next day if y'all went on the 17th. I won't have too much stuff to unload. But, I was thinking, I wouldn't want to do more of the driving myself further down the rest of the country. However, if I could carpool w/ somebody from NC in their car down to wherever the campsite is, I'd consider going.

Although, I'd have to talk it over w/ my girlfriend. I don't know if she would be too happy with helping me move practically across the country; only to have me take off to go camping for the weekend w/ some buddies the very next day. Oh well, if I'm gonna get married one of these days, I might as well get used to knowing what it's like being in the doghouse. [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_lol.gif[/img]

How Ironic huh? Sadly, the "get to know party" for all the groomsmen and bride's maids is also happening that weekend [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_frown.gif[/img]

I will consume several beverages and sacrifice several rodents to the snakes gods so that y'all may have a herp filled camping trip...

I'm screwed any way you slice it...too close to the wedding date now and too much left to do...

September would be even worse than August for me, so don't even factor me into the decision..

There is no way I can take off that weekend. If I do I lose 8 hrs OT. I am completely out of time needed to take off.
I could go the weekend before or the weekend after but I dont want to screw anyone else out of going by changing weekends.

Seeing that I'm BW's calander, I'll jump the gun and give you his availability if you have to change the trip. So, the BOSS says:

3rd weekend in August - available
4th weekend in August - he'd REALLY have to make it up to me for missing my birthday excursion, but he could go [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_lol.gif[/img]
5th weekend August - 3 day weekend!!!!!!!!! - available.
1st and 2nd weekends September - getting married - yeah, that's the big date
3rd and 4th weekends September - available

I can always be persuaded to change my plans for that weekend if you guys decide to have it then. Otherwise, my schedule is the same as BW's except for the 3rd weekend in August - the last of the wedding stuff before September 6th.

Just keep us posted on what's going on and we'll see if both of us can be there.

That weekend of the 3rd and 4th I'll be back in Macon area. Either Macon or Athens. I met some very cool hot people there. It's now worth the 3.5 hour drive.... [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif[/img]
and on another note and I don't know when yet but it's in August I'm having 3 budweiser girls staying at my house.....macon was good to me....so snakes will have to wait....except for the one that has only one eye.......
