Vacation time, coming up soon...need help planing my trip.
I really want do either go to southern Georgia and see Gopher tortoises or stay in NC and either find pigmy rattlesnakes or just find some good herping terratory and herp for a few days. Anyone know where in Georgia I will be able to go or land, property that is game for herping? Also, anyone know of spots or land in NC in pigmy range or throught the state? I do not want to collect, just photograph. All the spots I know of are in the peidmont. I'll take any info or recommendations. Thanks.

How much time will you take off for your trip?
BW knows of some good spots, but he may have you sign a waiver before he reveals all his secrets!
Bribe his travelling frog instead for the info...

I get out of class June 29 and have to be back July 5th, so not much time, but enough for a couple good herping days somewhere.

Well, yeah and you cant collect Gopher tortoises either, but I meant as far as the other wildlife, I do not want to collect anything just photograph them. Therefore if anyone didnt want to relvial a spot or land in fear of be collecting everything I saw, have no fear I just want to take some pictures.

General Coffee state park in south GA runs AMOK with gopher tortoises - it is about 4-5 hours from Atlanta though.
