silicone questions whats how toxic is it.

I have a wood cage and now I am going to glue shower liner to protect the wood from urine, poo, water. I am going to use GE household glue silicone 2 100% silicone sealeant clear.

The instructions say tack free in 30 min. And 24 hour to cure. When is it safe to put my substrate back in, heat up the cage, and most important the snake.
How toxic is this stuff? I am going to start early so that I can be done as soon as possible with everything well ventilated.

I don't have another place my snake can go. Its going to be a warm day tomorrow so she should be ok temp wise. I'll keep an eye on her. OR if she gets too sneaky I will put her in a pillow case(thats ok right)?

One more question. Where do you put the probes of the digi thermos or thermostat with a probe.? Do you lie them on the ground? Dangle them in the cage or attatch them to the wall? How do you attach to the wall?

thanks,
James

I kept reading and it says methanol and ammonia released during application and cure. Maybe this isn't the right stuff. If you know the right stuff can you give me brand name and title plus places that I would find it/?

Never used anything other than acrylic based sealants
The acrylic stuff will hold it together just as good and release with enough tug so you can replace or reuse the shower surround on a new enclosure should you decide to rebuild etc.

That's the same stuff I used to seal the corners in my new cage, but I waited over a week to put anything in the cage. That stuff smells like vinegar for at least a few days, but once it's cured it stick forever!

I guess I'll have to make a temp cage out of a tote. with a heat pad. And holes poked in it. Can the holes be poked in the top or should they be on the sides? I will be heating with a heat pad on the bottom. Put space in between the heat pad and the tote right?
