Mouthrot is a loose term that can apply to any number of mouth conditions. Usually bacterial...symptoms can be anything from swollen gums, abcess, cheezy looking funk growing in the roof of the mouth. What are the symptoms youir gecko has if any? Or just currious?

I just noticed my geckos lip was hanging a bit and there appeared to be two black patches on the gums. They weren't big, i thought it was dirt but when i tried to clean it, it just stayed there. Ill try to take a pic.

I think that anyone who has mouth rot or a similar problem might not be very interested in eating, so that would be a good indication that there is a problem
I aquired a sick snake who had mouth rot. His mouth had yellow splotches in it. He had a horrible shed before I got him since he was sick and ended up getting part of his tail amputated. With shots twice a day, cleaning his mouth twice a day and antibiotics, he survived. A few inches shorter, but survived. It's a serious problem for an animal and if you suspect it, please have a vet look at it. No way to diagnose and treat the problem for sure here.
Good luck! And I hope your lil guy is ok!
