feeder mice question.

I have 1 mouse who has babies in a 20 gallon tank. I have another mouse close to delivering. Would it be safe for the babies to put them together or should I set a new tank for that mouse? Thanks
Dani

well, i breed a good many mice. it is always better to keep 'em separate. not always possible though. like now i have around 15 pregnant mice, so i can't keep 'em all separate. if you put them together, there is always a chance the adults would fight. or that one of the mice would eat the other's young. or that they'd eat their own young. sometimes a firsttime mother will eat their own young even if they are alone. good luck a 20 gal tank is pretty big for one mouse and babies. i look at yard sales for used ten gallons to put mice in. and empty ones i had baby snakes in that i moved to bigger enclosures.
