Whats wrong with my rainbow boa?
My rainbow boas head has turned a milky white color, just the other day his whole body was like that and I thought he was going to shed but nothing happened and the rest of his body changed back to the normal color but his head is still like this

He will probably shed soon, then. They will sometimes clear up for a day to a few days before actually sloughing off the old skin. You have his humidity nice and high, right?

If the humidity and temps are good, you shouldn't have to soak him. Would you please tell us how you have him set up (humidity levels, temps, substrate, etc...) so we can possibly make helpful suggestions if things need changing?

Welcome to the site and hang in there - I remember my snake's first shed and it seemed to take him FOREVER! Kinda like watching for the pot to boil ya know?

Bark isn't the best thing since it mildews easily and the Rainbows need a fairly high humidity. Many snakes get skin problems when humidity is too high, the rainbows get it when it is too low. If you are on the east coast, you can easily get some cypress mulch from Lowe's (light blue bag, organic). After a rinse in some hot water, let it drain well and put that in the enclosure instead of the bark. To keep humidity up, remove the snake and pour some hot water in, stir it around and replace the snake. If on the west coast, ZooMed puts out Forest Floor which is cypress. Wash that stuff well if you must go that route, though.
