west hognose?

i know that western hognoses are mildly venomous. do they pose any danger to humans? do they bite much? just curious. thanks.

i looked them up on the net and did alot of research and they cant hurt you. most that can happen is you have a reaction like a bee sting.

The only real concern would be if you were allergic to their toxic saliva. They're not exactly known to be biters, most bites are the result of feeding responses. If you're allergic to bee stings and the like, you may want to reconsider keeping hognoses.

The western hognose I had in the past did more bluff than bite as a little guy. He mellowed as an adult. Dangerous to humans...not likely, dangerous to amphibians...definitely!

most bite result are fever, but like every1 said if your allergic to bee sting than you shouldn't risk it.
