The more I see that pic of the jeweled racer the more I think I might have to break that "No Colubrids" rule and get one 
Then I end up seeing another pic of an ETB and remember that that is first on my list |

they are fairly nice arne't they?!
I think there are a few a head of that on my list...but a colubrid will problably be my next snake...unless I get another boa...  |

Drymobius are NOT good captives for those who have not had extensive experience with high strung snakes that mostly feed on anurans.
While they are beeyoootiful (like most cool-ubrids), they require a certain degree of understanding before diving into them.
I dont doubt in the next few years, captive bred Drymobius will be more common, but for now, about 99.8 % of all of them in the US are field collected in Central america (mainly Honduras last I heard) and most do not live very long in captivity.And a note, that pic in the link above is NOT a speckeled racer, its a Elaphe oxyphala, or red tail ratsnake.
At least that is what showed up when I clicked the link.
