that may be correct for some snakes they wont eat until they poo. My snake hasnt pooed in 4 feedings do I care no she's healthy. I think it may just be that their trying to hibernate and we just won't let them so they hold in most of the meals for storage

What kind of snake Lore? She may be constipated and needs to soak. Please start caring She may not be as healthy as you think. Snakes don't whisper in your ear when they are sick and tell you what's wrong. You have to know and look for symptoms. Your snake is showing one now...please investigate.
BTW...she is talking about a BCI that is native to Colombia South America. Can you tell me during what months it's ever cold enough down there for a Boa to hibernate?...and just so you know...if a snake that does live in a climate where they need to brumate (not hibernate) or for those of us who brumate species that are appropriate to do so...anysnake that cools down for the winter with ANY food in the gut will die. It is extremely important to let everything pass before cooling down any snake for the winter...this practice is mostly only done with certain colubrids and pitvipers though...No Boids. Cooling a boa down below the low 70s will kill it anyway from RI and there is no reason to do that to them anyway.

The reasoning behind the "don't feed until they poop" theory is usually; air can get trapped between the new food and the old feces causing gases to form.... LOL. That is how it was explained to me. This person also stands by her argument that all snakes require full spectrum lighting to survive and be healthy. She means well, but sometimes... well, you get the picture.
In my opinion the most important part of research is to find as many sources as you can. There are plenty of people out there that stop after their first reference, and that is not the way it should be done, especially with herps. So many people have so many ideas about how everything should be done. Some of them are flat out wrong, that's why it's important to ask a large group of expierienced keepers. That is what is so great about forums! You can get a multitude of opinions from a lot of people in a short amount of time, especially at RTB.net!

That seems highly silly to me Dr. O. Snakes can fart with the best of us. Trust me on that one, you have not experienced snake gas to its fullest until you've been woken at 3am to a 14 foot burm letting one rip for ~3 minutes.
Anyway, some species simply have slower metabolisms. My sand boas and my blood pythons usually get 2-3 meals before they drop a load, but my common boas, ammies, and burms will drop a load every time they eat. My bull snakes will drop several loads for each meal - somehow.
