heat pads and totes
It's ok to put heat pads under plastic totes ...right?

tough call, they put out a lot of heat and my guess would be they would warp or melt the plastic.
I dont think it would be that safe to do IMO.

What should i do instead for a heat source?..I already have a light and that just isn't putting off enough heat.

there is only one made for plastic and it's pretty small (I have it on my portable critter keeper) generally for a 5 gallon.
All the others are made for glass.

Well I have totes and all have heat pads under them. No melting and no warping and they actually heat very well.
