My RTB was blue for about a week but now her eyes are clear agian but she hasnt shed yet. i have been giving her 20-30 minute baths everyday to ensure a good shed. is it normal that her eyes are clear again without shedding? a little light on the shedding issue would be greatly appreciated.

Nothing is wrong, it can take several days and sometimes more than a week for the entire shedding process to complete, you can do your snake a huge favor and just leave it alone during that time.

Telefrag said it all. Usually after the eyes turn blue, they will become clear again and the shed process should start afterwards. This could be either a few days or a week or two.

in my expierience eyes are usually the first to clear up, so thats normal. the snake shedding time really depends on the individual snake, and humidity. if the humidity is right the snake should usually shed in one piece. can ya take a pic of 'er right after she sheds? they usually look thier best right then. -Juggalo

i should not handle her? i have a small problem then, my vet gave me anitbiotics and laxatives to give to her because she hadnt defecated in about three weeks. from what i am reading it isnt abnormal for the snake to do that right before shedding. so should i continue with the antibiotics and laxatives?

the only problem I see with handling during shed is when the eys caps go blue, they can see even worse than normal, thus they might be a little nippy. and keeping them out of the humidity of the enclosure for too long. -Juggalo

Your snake should be shedding any day now. Dont hold it for the time being. And dont worry about the stuff the vet gave ya for it. That can wait, you will probably find a big ol pile once the shed is off anyways.

Actually lose the laxative...see your other post related to that stuff...As for the antibiotic.. I would continue to dose as prescribed with this. As for the shedding issue...like the others said.. You have nothing to worry about...what your snake is doing is normal and should shed soon. On the handling..just keep it down to giving the antibiotics until the snake has shed and also keep in mind that yes the snake may be a bit on the temperamental side while in shed also.
