RTB Tub
Hi, I've had my Columbian boa for three years now, and it's time that she moves out of my 34.5" by 16.5" tub rack. I've seen Vision, Freedom Breeder, Boaphile, and all those other brands, but I'm not really willing to pay $100 just for a plastic tub. Do you guys have any recommendations on a tub for a 5 foot boa, and I would probably want to keep her in it when she gets to adult size to.

Re: RTB Tub
I really like the boaphile racks, but for a Colombian boa, I would recommend a boaphile Cage and not a rack. It is FAR more than a tub.

I also have a male boa het snow, and I'm going to expand my boa collection if I can find a reliable rack, so any recommendations on racks to would be awesome, and Morty, those boaphile racks look like there very high quality, have you had any problems with them?

Re: RTB Tub
I have never had any problem with them, but there are none of them that I would house an adult female in. They are simply not big enough. The big ones are fine for most males though.

Re: RTB Tub
Do you know of any rack/tub that would be suitable for an adult female?

Re: RTB Tub
Female boas get too big for racks, they do need more room, boaphile/animal plastics/vision/repti-racks are your best bet. If I recall correctly the repti-racks had the cheapest prices that included shipping.

Re: RTB Tub
Freedom breeder makes a rack that is big enough for an adult female.
Their 48 x 30 x 9 Jumbo Frame rack would be fine for adult females (not taking into consideration that I personally don't like freedom breeders for snakes at all.)
Freedom Breeder - The Original and Still the Best! - Reptile Racks :: Jumbo Frame Racks :: FB- 48x30x9 - Jumbo
6 enclosures will cost you 2100 with heat.
Without heat, casters, or any accessories they charge $322 per level and take up a TON of floor space. And none of these prices includes shipping. You will have to pay outlandish freight charges.
OR
You could pay $220 ish (rough number) per cage with Boaphile including heat and shipping for a 421D cage.
So no matter how you word it, you are loosing money by trying to fit a female boa into a rack.
