Hello everyone, I'm having problems identifying her. My friends are kinda split in what they think she is. She is being sold as Columbian. I'll have more pics later in the week. Thanks in advance.

She's DEFINATELY NOT a Columbian, as far as a BCI. Snag her up QUICK!!! Gorgeous snake. Try www.boa-constrictor.com for some ideas.

I'm guessing Bolivian Boa (B.c. amarali) too. If they're selling as a BCI (i.e. lower price) I'd snag her in a heart-beat!!! Nice find! Check for a dark heavily speckled belly.

I can't identify the locality. It is also a possability that it is a cross between a few sub species. The tail is very unusual, the whole snake is awsome in my opinion. I love the small widows peaks on most of the saddles, Which can happen with BCI (I have a female pure BCI with widows peaks on both sides of every saddle). I hope that it is of a pure bloodline of some sub species, it would be a shame for a snake that good looking to be a mut. -Juggalo

She is not a BCI..if she indeed is columbian she is a BCC Columbian...but she could be any number of other ssps or locals...remember that there is some crossover of BCC into Columbia from Venezuela, peru...also keep in mind that BCI columbians that we all know and love so well are from that little sliver of land to the west of the Andes Mtns...there is quite a bit of Columbia on the other side of the mtn where Brazilian BCCs could cross over...maybe...Im not really sure what exact part of Brazil they are found and/or how close to Columbia...or if it even matters in this case. To me...it looks kinda Brazilian ....amerili? hmmm maybe...BCI no way...People who aren't really into boas here "Columbian Boa pretty often and some likely assume all boas come from Columbia...I dunno ...anyway...pretty snake.

I agree 100% with Jules on this. The first thing that I thought was Amareli b/c of ther really short tail, but you will never really know. The only thing that I'm willing to commit to is BCI? NO WAY.
She is a really nice looking snake though. No doubt on that.

Could be a Bolivian or a Brazilian BCC. I can't remember which one is also known as the "short-tailed boa". Like it really matters (to me anyways). Either way, that one has a short tail.
