I dont handle my snake everyday because i am gettin busy..
this is how it happened
first day : I fed it and left it in the feedin container by accident.....the feedin container was not big ... like a bowl and i covered it with paper with holes....
third day: morning,, i just remembered that i didnt take it out..
so i hurried and took it out..
i tried to handle it so i can put it back to regular home.. and it just bit me...............
so i tried again slow.. and it bit me AGAIN!.................ouch.. so i used a card board.. lifted it.. and placed it back to it's home...........
TODAY! fourth day....
I wanted to handle them.. so i stuck in my hand slowly to handle them.. and it bit me AGAIN!
sigh.. i wana give up...........
but i care about them...................

Welcome aboard Iambad
Sounds like a baby to me, just acting naturally, out of defense and trying to get a response of 'Leave ma ALONE!!' and it looks like it's winning!
When small, they see many things as predators, especially if it's bigger than food and doesn't smell like food.
Maybe it needs to get used to you, again, or for the first time,m so keep handling it as much as you can.
Now here's how -
Use a small towel, or a t-shirt, covering the snake with it so he doesn't see you getting ready to pick him up (if they can't see you, then you don't exist )
and after a few minutes of holding, remove the cover slowly.
Do this a few times to let him get used to being handled, eventually doing away with the cover entirely.

Great advice capt.
How long have you had the snake? If you just got it, the snake may need time to adjust to you and his new surroundings. Also what are you keeping it in (cage size) and what are the temps you have it at? Sometimes putting in a one of your worn shirts, kinda sweaty and nasty, so the snake learns your smell, will get it used to you too. Also what Eddie said.
Welcome to RTB!!!

Check all the usual suspects too, like temps, humidity, etc. Make sure it's not getting stressed out for other reasons either.
Oh, and take pictures...membership in the Bleeder's Club requires photographic evidence. Bonus points if the snake is still attached.
speaking of which...I don't think I've renewed my membership this year...

You had it in the feeding tote for three days before you remembered it? You are busy so you don't have enough time to handle him as much as you would like? Keeping and raising your snake, or any pet, is going to take a lot of your time and patience. At this point in your life, depending on what is going on, you may consider returning her or offering her up for sale. This may be the best for you and your snake. Although you do care for your pets, sometimes life can be so busy that you haven't got the time to devout to everyone and everything. Just my opinion.
Welcome to the site!! I hope you can appreciate our opinions, and learn all that you can. ALthough we may not say what someone wants us to say all the time, we do it all out of love for the hobby. Stick around and learn!!

take jpaulson's word I havn't been here very long but i sure have learned a lot from just listening to these guys. This site is an amazing tool for any one who loves herps. If you have any quesiton that you can't seem to find the answer to or it just doesn't make sense post it up here and you will have several people trying to help you in a matter of an hour or so. and if they don't know 100% they will send you in the right direction. Trust me the fact that a membership is free here is the bomb. I really enjoy this site a lot and everyday I make an effort to see whats new on RTB.net because bottom line is Knowledge is Power. (i sound like a cheap ABC commercial ) I hope you and your snake become better friends lol and Enjoy this amazing site.
Peace

well, first off that hit me funny is....
I forgot to take it out of the tote until day 3!!!! You fed it on day 1. So that is the rest of the first day, all of the second day until day 3....and it was in a small tote with paper with holes?? No offense, just seems like a whole lot of carelessness. and then admitting that you don't have time for them because you're getting busy? Again no offense, but maybe it is time to change hobbies....or get more serious about this one....I'm not trying to offend you in any means and I do realize I'm coming off harsh. Please don't take it personally, I would've told it to anybody, even the most experienced herpers!!!! K? I think you people should cool it a bit. I take it that you have never messed up in caring for your reptiles. I know I have and I'm not afraid to admit it. I learned from my mistake, so will iambadathandling. Lets give more advice and a LOT less critisism.

Like some of the others said, keep working with the snake. It needs to get used to you and learn that you dont mean it any harm. You can sometimes expect a snake to be nippy when you first get it and soon after it will calm down once it feels comfortable with it;s surrounding.

imabad,
Read what Eddie, Ed_r and myself wrote. THere is nothing we can say to help your snake change overnight. It will take some time but what we said to do is what we tell everyone here that asks the same question.
Try wearing a pair of gloves at first if ya dont want to get bit. But you still have to handle it to help it calm down.
