soaking a boa will not rehydrate him. thier skin will not alow it. they may drink and take some on rectally- if gaping, but it usually does nothing (unless you are trying to get off a shed)
if the boa is drinking, keep it drinking. maybe use some regular pedialite instead of water (or a 50/50 mix). it has amino acids and other stuff meant to correct dehydration.
is the boa dehydrated?
look at the boa, if you can see lateral folds of skin on the last 3rd of their body, and their skin loses much of its elasticity- that is dehydration.
if the animal is eating and drinking- it will gain its weight back, be patient. you are doing well already if it is doing things on its own.
if you still want to do a weekly soak, go ahead. that will help it to pass any poop if it has to go.
wait on the shed. it will happen. unlike every one says, boas are unique individuals as humans are. some sheds will come in 7 days, some will come in 16. all depends on the boa. the time frame suggested is what usually happens. be patient it will shed. the weekly soaks will help with that ttoo.
congrats and thanks for saving a boa in need.
