I can answer that question for the squeezermeister... He has gotten them from all over the place.
Lots of people know him and know that he really knows a lot about snakes and lizards. Lots of people give him snakes because they can't care for them any more or they just got tired of them or any number of other reasons. He is a good guy like that.

Hi, welcome to the site.
Usually anyone with rescues hears about these snakes through word of mouth. Or they see them in someone else's care (like in a petshop) and notices there are some problems. Many people are grateful to have these animals out of their hair knowing they would just rack up a large vet bill. Some of the rescuers on this site treat their animals at home, sometimes with meds they just pick up from a vet: "Hello, this is so-n-so, I need x-amount of Baytril. I'll be over in an hour to pick it up" [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif[/img]
