RTB saliva

I know RTBs are not poisonous but I was wondering if the saliva of a rtb, has any toxics of any kind.... [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_confused.gif[/img] anything that could maybe provoke a rash?

I don't know of ANY poisonous snake in the whole wide world!
Although there are quite a few venomous ones in existance!

The saliva of a boa doesn't contain anything that would normally cause a rash, unless you are allergic to it, slim chance probably.. no anticoagulants either.
What can be there however, is germs and bacterias, possibly some virus, depending on health,, husbandry etc that could possibly cause a reaction after a bite, but nothing in the saliva itself should.

Yah...what you are calling a rash is likely infection from the bacteria either in the snakes mouth or already on your body at time of puncture...or perhaps introduced after the fact while the wound was still open and exposed to other contaminants....peroxide and neosporin should fix ya right up.
