Honestly, I've never had to resort to antibiotics to treat mouth rot unless it was left for a very long time in that condition. Anyway, since you see it now, just keep the area as clean as possible. I use a chlorhexidine solution to rinse out the mouth a couple times a day and that usually knocks it out fast. Just make sure there is no cheesey goo in there, and like J said, no injured teeth or open wounds in the gum tissue. I'd bet though its just swollen a bit from whacking the tank, I have a big
BCI that does it rather often and the swelling goes down in a couple of days. Keep an eye on it, and it probably wouldn't hurt to keep the area hydrated if there is any exposed internal mouth tissue from a lip being pulled back or something - we all know how much snakes love being squirted in the face.
