Hubby has agreed to let me get two more snakes to complete my collection after we move. I've decided on an ammie and a suri. I can find care sheets on ammies, but not much on suris or BCC in general. How do they differ from BCI's? I have heard that they have more specific needs, and don't do well if they're not met, but what exactly do they need? Higher humidity? What about temps? I will likely be getting a baby or yearling. Anything I need to know before bringing one home?

For my suri, I try to keep a temperature gradient of 78-88 degrees, and a humidity of around 60%. I used to keep the humidity around 70%, but he developed a bacterial infection due to the extra moisture. Therein lies the challenge with a BCI -- if things are not ideal, problems will occur. For the most part, my experience has shown me are that the requirements are similar to a BBC, they are just much less forgiving of mistakes.

I know how you feel though...there is a whole plethora of information on BBC care, but almost nothing for the BCI.
