So is this just a conjecture based on your medical background, or is there actually literature on multiple prey items squishing a snake's internal organs? I would like to read more about this, as it's something I plan to do when my snakes are larger. BTW, it's not always apparent in writing, but my tone is more inquisitive and not argumentative. .

Yes, but this is only true if you overfeed. I was thinking more like having 2 smaller prey items that equal one appropriately-sized prey item. For instance, I can't always get the right size large rats for my BCC, so often I'll give him a medium and a small. Do you recommend in this case just giving him the one very small prey item instead of both?

i personally would give one prey item even if it is a little smaller than needed. that is just me. plus the things i listed aren't just side effects of over feeding. lets say you get one rat from store A and one from store B. if store B has bad rat for what so ever the reason and it causes the snake to regurge there is no way of telling which place you got the bad rat from. make sense?

Re: Help
oh, and i also believe it is harder on their digestive system to try to digest 2 prey items as opposed to one. that is just me tho. i don't have anything to back that theory up.

Re: Help
Wow. Well my boas will get multiple rats when they get huge, and they will learn to like them. It will be a cold day in hades before I feed a bunny to anything. Great info, though. Sorry for the minor hijack.

Re: Help
dont feed bunnies. find really small pigs. plus you can find rats that are the size of small rabbits.
