Re: Help

I leave her with the food,about 5 hours..And nothing
The reason I asking this,is beacause I heard that feeding with movement is not good...Because,you learn snake to hunt by movement, and when you want to grab snake, you might get bitten. This is true?

No. If you're afraid you're going to be bitten when you stick your hand in the tank, just lightly tap the snake on the nose with something. i feed all my snakes off of tongs and never really have an issue.

It's not to say you guaranteed won't get struck at, but it doesn't increase aggressiveness. Owning a snake means getting struck at/bitten by one, at some point or another

Kinda knocks them out of any kind of hunt mode they could be in. I do it to my little boas who always are itchin' for a meal (they eat every 7 days) and they tuck their heads down and I scoop up under them... i don't grab them...

Re: Help

Place the food in a zip lock bag, and soak in in hot tap water for 10-20 minutes. Then feed while food is still warm.

Duse would not eat room temp f/t mice. I saw the above tip on here someplace and BINGO!!!

Snakes sence the heat, and it brings on the smell also. I also wiggle the mouse just a bit, and have never heard that was a no no.

Warm food, little wiggle,

Works great for me.

bump up his food so you don't have to keep feeding two mice

Re: Help

feeding two prey items is never good. if he is eating two mice i bet he could easily eat a med. rat. which would be better for him than a mouse. as for the movement of prey making them feel like they need to hunt by movement? i have to throw the bs flag on that one. i have never had an issue with it. never got struck at getting them out of the cage, and every snake i have owned for the past 15 years were fed live too. i just recently switched to f/t 6 or 7 months ago. as far as tapping them on the nose trick that is usually pretty effective. or you could just take him out with a hook every time you get him out. that way when he gets rubbed or touched with the hook he knows it isnt feeding time.

i really don't understand that last part. your grammar, choice of words, and spelling really makes it hard to understand your questions sometimes. i assume you are asking that since he is used to mice is there a chance he wont like rats. there is always that chance. i have only had it happen once or twice, and all i did was let them get very hungry and they ate it. i have a theory about picky eaters. they can be picky all they want, but if they wanna eat they are gonna eat what i give em. always works just takes longer with some.
