RODI water???

So we all know to leave tap water out for 24hrs so the chlorine evaporates. Well I keep saltwater fish and I use RO/DI (reverse osmosis/ deionized) water for the tanks. Will this water be fine for my snakes? It is just much easier to do this because I have 30or more gallons that I make at a time.
O and my other question was will this remove any benificial things from the water?
"remove impurities—chlorine, chloramines, pesticides, phosphates, heavy metals and many others—from tap water" and "removing phosphates, silicates and nitrates from tap water. "

Re: RODI water???

I don't let my tap water sit out at all, never had a problem with any of my pets.

Re: RODI water???

I have worked with industrial ro/di systems and from this I know you need to be careful what the water is stored in. Also, it is easy to contaminate this water.

There is interesting debate on the good or bad in drinking 'pure' water for humans. Without getting to scientific, very pure water doesn't want to remain pure and will 'attack' minerals to make it more neutral. Some believe this is helpful to remove impurities in our bodies. The reality is, if you have undigested or partially digested material in your small intestine....the 'pure' water will take what it needs from this material. What will happen in an empty snake stomach? I don't know.

IMO I would stick to the evap method for watering my critters.
