help!!! docile one week 15+ snaps the next
 i have a 3 foot long columbian boa that i bought 3 weeks ago docile sweet temperment adjusted to new tank quickly she shed about 2 weeks ago and ate recently now shes snapped at me at least 15 times in the past week i dont know what would cause the sudden attitude change any advice would be greatly appreciated

she ate 4 days ago 85 degrees dont have any thing to measure humidity

could be any number of things, but with so little info, it's tough to help. She ate 4 days ago, so she shouldn't be hungry, and the temp sounds ok. She shouldn't need to shed. Maybe it has parasites. maybe it doesn't have a good place to hide. Maybe it's just a mean snake. maybe you don't have a good gradient.

There are so many things it could be. It could be she feels stressed out. Maybe there are vibrations in the room or not enough privacy. And it is possible that she is still hungry. My BCI has had a few days here and there where she strikes every time someone walks by her tank. Usually a prolonged feeding response a day or two after feeding. But sometimes she's just in a bad mood. As mentioned above, take an inventory of all the husbandry stats and make sure everything is okay. Also, make sure she has plenty of privacy--hides, fake plants, etc. so she doesn't feel exposed. Please keep up posted. |

she has a branch covered in plastic ivy one of those half log huts news paper on the floor 14 inch water bowl i mist the tank once a week

is the whole cage 85? if so she is to hot. she needs a warm side of about 87 and a cool side of 80. is her prey size the size of her girth? more info is needed.

everything sounds goosd. maybe she needs to adjust to her new surroundings better. have you rearranged her cage or moved it or anything?
